Hello, my name is Victor. I'm from Guatemala. I came to the U.S. five years ago.

I was alone and I didn't have a job. I was sad because my family and friends were in Guatemala. It was difficult to telephone my family because I didn't have any money.

Now, I am 24 years old. I am happy because I have a good job and I go to English class. I work Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. I work in construction.

My cousin lives with me in our small apartment. He cleans the apartment and he buys the food. I pay the bills and cook our food. Every month, I send money to my family in Guatemala. Sometimes, I go to the movies, eat in restaurants, or play soccer.

In the future, I want to open a bank account and buy a house. I want to continue my education and speak good English. When I have a good job, I want to get married and have children.
